Lands of America recently had over $3 billion in land, homesites and other rural acreage for sale in the Land of Enchantment, which constitutes nearly 1,142,000 acres of New Mexico land for sale. Of New Mexico's 33 counties,
Sandoval County had the most land and farms for sale. There were 10,147 acres of sold land in New Mexico recorded last month through the Lands of America sales program. This reflects a 15 percent change in sales activity over the previous month, with a combined land value of $7 million for all property and land sold in the state. The most land sales in the state last month were located in Valencia County. The Bureau of Land Management oversees most outdoor recreation on over 13 million acres of New Mexico land. Popular activities include hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and OHVing (indeed, an all-terrain vehicle is a necessity in many areas given the tough, rugged terrain). New Mexico is the fifth-biggest state in the United States, covering an area of 121,598 square miles (78 million acres). Of its total landmass, 121,298 square miles of the state is land, while the remaining 292 square miles is covered by water. Game species to be found on land for sale in New Mexico include mule deer, elk, turkey, bear, and dove. Anglers can enjoy casting for trout, bass, catfish, pike, and salmon.
